Since forming in February of 2019, Canadian Doctors for Protection from Guns has succeeded in shifting the discourse on gun control in Canada, and contributed to substantial policy change. Among our successes:
A ban on semi-automatic assault-style weapons
Passage of Bill C-71, which includes stronger background checks for individuals buying guns
A comprehensive video presentation on preventing firearm injury and death in Canada
